Wow, it’s been a decade already!

Ten years ago, our founder Oep stumbled upon a crazy machine. He had never seen anything like it. How did it work? Did it even work? Well, it did – splendidly. In fact, it has wikkeled over 100 Wikkelhouses with cardboard. These Wikkelhouses are having the time of their lives in Europe and in South america, enjoying the view and spreading the fun.

Our modular system enables us to make any type of Wikkelhouse we like. From tiny ones to double trouble. We decided to give the most popular variants their own name.

How’s your Wikkelhouse doing? Feeling good, looking great? Since over 100 Wikkelhouses have found their homebase all over the world, we’d love to celebrate with a beauty contest. More Wikkelpower in fantastic Friesland

We’re pleased (and proud!) Wikkelhouses have become pretty popular indeed. Lots of people are longing for a holiday home, guest house, granny flat, or working cabin nearby. As a result, our waiting list went through the roof (not literally, luckily). Patience is a virtue, but too much patience is a bore. So in order to fulfill the ever-increasing demand, we’re building an extra production line in the beautiful north of our flat country.
About a 90-minute drive from our Amsterdam HQ, a team of miracle makers will bring the waiting period for a Wikkelhouse down to nine months. A coincidence? We don’t think so….

I’ve been at Wikkelhouse since December. I started working here because I had ‘cabin fever’ and as an architect, it’s good to get more practical knowledge about materials and building. My ideal spot for a Wikkelhouse would be deep in the Tsitsikamma forest.
