WRAP UP #02

Hello folks!

Bless you for being here and allowing us to catch you up on Wikkelhouse – you know, the cardboard house you never knew you wanted.

But first things first:

You are free. You are free to do whatever you want. You are free. We salute and applaud you for having your own will. So go ahead, take control over your life and unsubscribe right here if for whatever reason you don’t want to receive this newsletter.

What have we been up to these past few months?

Wikkelhouse is going places. Lovely places. Currently we’re installing Wikkelhouses in Amsterdam, Almere, Vinkeveen, Dordrecht, Apeldoorn, Rotterdam, Oosterwolde, Marseillan (France) and Devon (UK). Even Corsica might be on our map soon.

A Rotterdam harbour asked us to develop a floating Wikkelhouse and so we did. Wikkelboat will function as an office and hotel room. Installment is planned for May and pictures will follow soon. Ship Ahoy!

Bio-Based Shower Cabin? Sure.

When ordering a Wikkelhouse we offer the option of adding a ‘wet’-segment to your design. We all need a shower now and then, even treehuggers like ourselves. As part of our ongoing quest to make Wikkelhouse as sustainable as possible, we now offer a bio-based shower cabin. It’s made from hemp, cork and jute fibers – all fully renewable materials. The fibers are mixed with GreenPoxy®, the world’s eco-friendliest resin. This unique mix of materials makes our shower cabin as green as it gets.

A truly natural habitat: Cabiner.

Wikkelhouse-lovers value their independence. No wonder we received dozens of requests for an off-the-grid version of our humble abode. We knew this would be no easy feat, but we found a partner in Staatsbosbeheer (Holland’s National Forrest Reserve) and got to work. Now it’s here: a fully self-sufficient Wikkelhouse. We named it Cabiner. To all you indies out there rejoicingly checking your bank accounts – please be patient. Cabiner won’t be available to the market any time soon. Give us time, we’re working on it.
