IMPOSSIBLY CRAZY 2023

Dear Wikkelhouse friend,

We worked hard, stressed a little, had lots of fun, felt super proud and most importantly – we pushed ourselves to the edge of what was possible in 2022. In total, we built and installed forty-four new Wikkelhouses in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and Denmark.

What’s more, we doubled our team and workspace. And speaking of more, we used more cardboard, more multiplex, more flax, more more more natural building materials to inspire the world to use less less less non-biodegradable stuff. All to make the impossible possible. Why? Let us take you back.

To be honest, we started Wikkelhouse because it seemed crazy. A house made of cardboard… impossible, right?

But the thing is: impossible to us is fun.
An opportunity to show something.
Prove something.

If we’re able to build a cardboard house, we might also be able to do other impossible things. Just like the team behind The Ocean Cleanup machine or the electrical Sion car, which charges itself. Sounds crazy? Then imagine planes running on hydrogen, cities running on wind power and agriculture bicycles. Yes, really! 

All these things sound impossible.
But let’s be honest:
our future needs them like crazy.

Which is why we need more more more. More wild ideas, more creativity, more curiosity, more cleverness and more stubbornness to change course and create a new perspective.
